USRI was again present at "Idaho's Largest Car Show" on July 9, 10, and 11. The officers put up our booth, which included a membership table, information rack, and shady “mister” room where show-goers could sit, yak, and enjoy the water mist inside a covered area. On hot July days, we get a lot of traffic this way! The officers also displayed some of their vehicles, including Tim's T-Bucket and matching trailer; Curtis' Ultra motorcycle, and most notably Mel's recently-completed '40 Ford Coupe, restored after several years of being locked up.
It was an enjoyable time, and most of us participated in the Capitol City Cruise, where downtown Boise was shut off for hundreds of cars to “strut their stuff” for the crowds. This year it was even live on TV. We signed up a few new members as well as some renewals. Check out the pictures, below, including one with Dennis Gage from the "My Classic Car" show!
